Okay, I have Beinora, the father, and the mother. Woohoo!
BEINORA P’ANAH
1. What is your Character's Name?
Beinora P'Anah
2. What Age would you prefer?
Thirty-five, with only the physical appearance of a fifteen-year-old
3. What Species do you want your Character to be?
Beinora is of a race that is very rare, but very well known in Dernesta. Her ancestors have come from a rapidly growing village-state called Valletis. They are always dark haired and often look like eight year old that never grew up. They live for at least two hundred or more years, but age extremely slowly and do die - although disease is never a factor. Cross-breeding between Valletians and mortals have bred either normal height or Valletian-sized offspring. Beinora has come from a long line of these mortal-sized Valletians. Some generations back, Beinora's ancestors sailed from Valletis as outcasts and made a home with the Elders.
4. Do you want your Character to be Male or Female?
Female
5. How tall do you want your Character to be? Give a Height.
She is only about 5'4" and weighs close to 125 pounds.
1. Appearance? What do your Character look like? (Such as, brown hair? brown eyes?
What physical build does she or he has? slim?, medium?, heavy?)
Beinora has thick, rich chocolate hair, hazel eyes, and quite average when looked upon. She isn't thin, but looks thick because she is mostly muscle. Her eyes dominate her round face, which are the most disarming feature she has. She has long, sturdy legs, strong hands and normally wears a skinny "sailor's sock" hat over her braids.
Her clothes are normally simple and of no certain color scheme. The Elej robes are not sacred, and as her brother, Obein, climbed from one level to the next in the Academie, Beinora made clothes from the left over fabric of each different color level robe. Her boots are long and stretch up to her knees, tied with rawhide to the top and are a pebble grey color.
An emblem (that of a twelve-pointed star) is stitched onto everything she owns. Her cloak is only waist-length long, a dagger sheathed in each boot and a long curved scimitar (inscribed with the 34 ordinances of the law of conduct for the Acadamie P'Elej) fastened strictly to her hip.
She is very serious and hardly forthcoming, but wears a sarcastic quizzical look most of the time.
2. Weapons?
Her family is much respected and well renown for being warriors and fearless defenders. Beinora enjoys nothing more than a good fight at arms. She has been taught unnaturally well the sword, and many other various types of fighting with weaponry. She is not much of a horseman, and is rather a fierce lover of running and sport.
3. Abilities? (Such as magic? telepathy? psionics?)
Her best powers on her side are the best and most acute of the Valletians: she can easily find paths and pathways, pockets of areas that no one else can really find or get to - somehow finding a way to intermingle the real with the unimagined. Another feature she carries is the ability to be quick with her tongue, which always results in mass confusion in the one she bickers or argues with.
Her argument strategy is not solely due to quick thinking, but emanates a pulse of thought that slows the minds of others. Should she wish to, she can talk herself out of anything.
She also has heard the wild rumors regarding her race: that the consumption of Valletian blood would cure any malady of a sufferer. She cannot account for this rumor, and hides what she is wherever she goes. Her "apparent" age would attract attention as a girl traveling alone, so she depends on her boyish appearance to travel unnoticed.
4. Immunities? What are your Character's weaknesses?
She is very soft-spoken and by now, a very seasoned survivalist. Her only shortcoming - she is addicted to any type of gambling, and will never ever back down from a challenge, no matter how dangerous or ridiculous. She has no children and never domesticated herself with a man, but takes care of all her married sisters and their children. She cannot abide to see children mistreated, and has been teaching children of Bein-Fort Coast to fight and defend themselves.
5. Items?
None
6. Personality Alignment? (Is he/she good? evil? neutral?)
VERY good.
7. Occupation?
Beinora is so very family-oriented. Her brother and three sisters mean everything in the world to her, and rarely leaves home. Because her father had been a very high-ranking knight warrior of the Academie P'Elej and her brother swiftly gaining power and respect in the hierarchy of the governing and magical body of Bein-Fort Coast, she has enjoyed much privilege, technically a "courtier."
1. Where was he/she born?
Bein-fort Coast, a settlement right on the ocean, between ocean and rocky plains. It is at the foot of the Academie P'Elej, which is the center of the Elej, or Wizard Elders Order. It is a rock fortress and very darkly intimidating from across the waters, with the impressive "Frebeino P'Rew" or Fire Mount volcano in the distance.
2. Who were the character's parents? Did they or Didn't they raise him/her? If the parents didn't raise him/her, Who did? What are their names?
Mother's name: Seiba Y'Ure
Father's Name: Jebeinor P'Anah
Her mother was a member of a very select Valletian clan and soon after her son was born (the youngest child), she left to return to her clan. Beinora has very few memories of the woman, but does not blame her mother for being homesick, or extremely dedicated to her clan.
Her father took the best care of her and her family. Beinora was the second oldest of the P'Anah clan and because her father was a high ranking knight, he was often away on that business. She looked up to her father like he were Hercules himself, trying to be just like him in so many ways.
3. Did the character have any brothers or sisters? Any friends? Where are they now? Does He/She still talk to them?
Yes, she has three sisters, and her youngest sibling is her favorite: her brother Obein. Her three other sisters, Cayokein, Olbaniena, & Vibeinire, were all married quickly and were blessed with many children. She cared for her younger siblings and their children as if they were her own. Family is top on her list and really doesn't have many friends outside of that.
That was until true only until one night, an unsettling cold swept into the village from the sea, that an Elder, one of the blue robed, highest power, pressed into her hand several parchments sealed in a leather satchel and demanded hotly at once she leave with it. He threatened that her brother's, Obein's, life was in danger, and the existence of the very Elej order depended on the success of her mission: to give these very sensitive documents to the sovereign of Gwyn. What ever came next depended on the sovereign, for Beinora never dared nor thought to dishonor herself and look upon the business of the parchments. She knew not what she carried.
During her journey, she was taken captive and she met Rhion. Her life and outlook changed and although she has always been self-sufficient, finds that she puts her life into the hands of this man more and more. After getting separated from him after escaping their ghoulish captors, she once again found him in Gwyn. She has delivered her charge, and because she trusts Rhion like no other, they have become inseparable and are braving the dangerous world together.
It has been two years since she has embarked on her journey. She has heard by now that something had frightened all in the Academie and all wizards are in hiding. Where, is anyone's guess. The magic Elej Order has been broken and dispersed. All she has is a round watch, a compass hidden beneath to guide her. What she has surmised is that it not only tells where the directions are - but rather where the wizards are for when her mission is complete. She hopes, that although the Order no longer functions, that her mission will not be completed too late - and that her brother and sisters are still alive....
4. How was his/her childhood? Abusive? Peaceful? Ordinary?
Although she is family oriented, she is mostly a loner. She cares for those close to her, but is not technically "close" with anyone. What she values most is honor, for one's home and country. Her father dying left her without a role model and soul mate to confide in. Her childhood was spending time on the chalky, beaches made of volcanic ash. The surrounding shacks look out onto a sloping, glassy lake which empties into a vast ocean. Their little town was often the port where ships and merchants stopped over. Beinora loved to listen to the sailor's stories, she never had the first inkling to seek out her own adventures.
5. Does he have any pets? familiars?
None. RHion's wolf is as close as she gets to having a pet. Her beliefs are that every creature has its place . . . she never grew up in a place that domesticated anything. There was the Realm of the Beasts, and then there was the Realm of the Races.
6. What are his/her beliefs? Does he/she worship a god(s)? Is he/she willing to do anything to protect or guard their beliefs?
Her belief system is very fuzzy. She has no exact religious structure, but holds very strictly to the laws of the Academie P'Elej. Many surrounding cultures have had their effect on her own so she has a vague belief in numerous Gods and Goddesses outlined by them. Her first concern is following the beliefs of the Wizards, of magic (though she never practiced it herself), and just believing in what her father believed---pride, honor, and protection of the weak is sacred.
7. Does he/she have the ability to kill others?
She does, but only in self-defense, or in rightfully delivering judgement on the scum that deserve it. She once in Gwyn sliced off a man's hand for roughing up a little child. She is more of a pacifist, and stays out of ruckuses that do not concern her, unless someone unable to fight back is being victimized.
8. Does he/she have any allies? enemies? If so, who are they?
Her life has been quite sheltered and her only true friend and ally seemes to be Rhion. Her only enemy, though unbeknownst to her, is her own brother Obein. He is working with Aidarron's mother to acquire some very sensitive information about a child prophesized to be the most powerful and god-like being to ever grace the mortal world. These two have different reasons for wanting the child. Beinora and Rhion heard of the missing children and Beinora convinces her friend they must look for a way to help them---both have a terrible feeling about it.
9. How would he/she treat others? Rudely? Friendly?
SHe is a loner, so of course she would be very distant and unwilling to depart with any personal information. But, as with her family and with Rhion, once a certain person crosses her fancy, she nearly "falls in love" with them. Perhaps she sees in Rhion what she saw in her father and that is what makes the bond so strong for her, besides the fact that he saved her life at the expense of his own personal well-being. She is fascinated by elves and finds them to be magical, beautiful and honest, like truth. She tries to keep a low profile because of her less than desirable Valletian parentage and being female just exudes the idea of weakness. Her boyish appearance makes her look plain and is often left alone because of it. She likes it this way. Should anyone need her help, she is there in a moment's notice but as of yet, she has never experienced betrayal.
The only time she would come to life is if she were accused of not being able to accomplish something and would turn the insult into a bet. She is extremely partial to gambling so would probably not be able to resist getting in on that kind of action. The only problem is, she can too easily fix the game with her ability to talk herself into or out of anything.
10. Any goals? Any dreams?
Her true goal now is to save her family and what she once knew to be her life. She loves to help the weak and old, but yearns for simpler times. She wants very much to be like her father but discoveres every day she does not have the stomach for the undependable, unpredictable life she is leading outside her homeland. In all honesty, she forgets that she is a person, too. Her only dreams are for those around her---the biggest is to see her brother succeed and become a powerful Wizard. And for Rhion, only for him to be able to settle somewhere and be able to escape ridicule for his apparent race/parentage. It pains her whenever she sees his decaying ability to bounce back after healing someone, so much that he has to wear gloves so as to not expend his own powers.
11. Has he/she considered the possibility of death? If so, has he/she made up a will?
She faces death many times, but does not fear it. She has no possessions, but Rhion knows her goals and trusts him with the importance of it should she be unable to continue. Beinora, because of her race, has never experienced sickness so she does not consider it possible she should be outlived by Rhion, lest she be killed in battle. To die honorably is the only way to die, no matter how hideously so is her view.
UNPRINCIPLED (selfish)
This, basically, good person tends to be selfish, greedy, and holds his/her personal freedom and welfare above almost everything else. He/she dislikes confining laws, self-discipline and distrusts authority. This is the HAN SOLO, Star Wars, character The guy who is always looking for the best deal, associates with good and evil characters, is continually tempted to lie and cheat, and hates himself for being loyal and helping others.
Unprincipled characters will...
1. Have a high regard for life and freedom.
2. Keep his/her word of honor.
3. Lie and cheat if necessary (especially to those of anarchist and evil alignments).
4. Will not kill an unarmed foe(but will take advantage of one).
5. Help those in need.
6. Not use torture unless absolutely necessary.
7. Work with a group, especially if profitable.
8. Never harm an innocent.
9. Never kill for pleasure.
10. Dislike authority.
11. Never betray a friend.
